SAS Rope & Rail are proud to say we have again passed our annual RISQS audit with the highest rating of 4 out of 4 stars.
By being part of the RISQS scheme (formerly known as Achilles Link-Up), we are included on the list of approved suppliers. This means we are visible to buyers who are looking for new suppliers or contractors within the rail industry, and who want to reduce the risk, cost and effort of ‘going in blind’. By using the approved suppliers list, buyers have peace of mind that we have all passed a very in-depth audit and all our policies and procedures are as they should be.
This is our fourth consecutive year of achieving this accreditation and means that SAS Rope & Rail are permitted to complete a wide scope of works on the rail network.
Some of the work we are currently undertaking includes cleaning of the structural steel work at Leeds Station. Our rope access guys have been working Saturday night shifts in Leeds for the last few months to get the station back to its sparkling best. Here’s a few of our rope access boys hard at work!
We also specialise in rope access bridge inspections, and even offer safety boat services so that all your needs are covered.
You can find all of the services we offer on our website including rope access, safety boat hire, structural inspections and window cleaning

Over an eight week period, SAS Rope & Rail removed all vegetation, including mature trees, along the route of the new A380 Kingskerswell bypass. A fifteen man team worked during weekend possession/ weekday under COSS site warden supervision, and among them our skilled team of rope access technicians were able to safely and easily access the tricky areas of de-veg works.
The project was completed two weeks ahead of schedule, successfully avoiding any interruption to the bird nesting season.
During April 2013, SAS Rope & Rail completed a large commercial building clean, removing algae and airborne dirt. All areas were treated by hand with algae remover before being pressure washed, leaving the building looking as new. Dead Weight Trolleys were used as a portable anchorage solution for the rope access technicians because there were no available anchor points on the roof of the building.
Dead Weight trolleys are available at www.sasanchorage.com. Please contact SAS Rope & Rail at email@example.com for more information or a no obligation site survey and quote.
